Trying to identify strut spring with part #
There are no color bars on this, anyone know what the spring rate is on this? Part # looks like 492 MUB95134.3
I got it from someone who was going to put it on his '91 S2 but he didn't know the spring rate. ![]()

There are no colored dots or bars on either spring. I looked for evidence where someone might have scratched or rubbed them off but didn't see anything.

Here's some info I found:
944 wire-diameter = 12.0mm free height = 407mm 944S2 wire-diameter = ??? free height = 378mm 951 non-S wire-diameter = 12.0mm free height = 396mm 951, 1990+ wire-diameter = 11.6mm free height = 356mm 951 TurboS or S2+M030 wire-diameter = 11.7-12.2mm free height = 329mm You can compare what you have to one of those to see which matches. Free standing it looks to be about 358mm. I'll have a micrometer tomorrow to measure the wire diameter.
