968 Auto trans erratic shift when engine hot

Have 1992 Tip Tronic 968, when engine cold, or engine temp and weather temperature normal trans shifts ok, and tip tronic works correctly.
When engine temp gets higher with weather temp in the 80 degree plus range, the trans starts shifting up and down between 2/3 3/4 and at real low speed at times has seemed to select 1 and 2nd at same time (stalled engine). When being erratic even to tip tronic shifts up and down. once gets to over 65 mph shifts into 4th and stays in unless big hill or hard throttle used. Closest Porsche dealer id 4 hour drive away, so hoping someone can point in direction to solve problem.

it's possible you have a bad connection somewhere at the tip computer. have you done a "blink test" yet to look for any error codes?

The solenoids may be sticking. When was the last time filter was changed and fluid flushed?
The Tip is really sensitive to dirty/low fluid.
Plus there are other sensors such as an accelerometer and even ABS can affect how it shifts.
If you know how to do the self-test, go ahead and try that.
I personally would go to the dealer or indy to have it checked with the proper tool, parts are expensive. I just replaced the damper on mine, part alone was $900. Luckily I can do most work on the cars myself.

Thank 968 guy and flash

Did not get flash codes that helped, am taking to local shop to have transmission oil power flushed and replaced. Will post results next week.
