Engine Problem
Still I can't get my 1986 951 to fire. After the rebuild that I needed to do because of bent valves; I put it all back together and it will not fire. When you turn the key once it is at 0 bar it needs to be at 1 bar to fire. It gets no fuel or spark. Yes I have replaced the DME relay and still nothing. It would be a help if any of you know what this is or can someone post a link to a website that has the factory workshop manuals on the internet? The car ran fine before I bent the valves.

just curious.... but how did you bend your valves? I thought only the normally aspirated 944's were interference engines... is that not true?

The timing belt tensioner bearing blew out and the valves hit the piston. The turbo's can beld valves but not as easy as the NA because the compression is lower.
