S2 head specs FSM wrong?
I have an S2 head in the machine shop. The FSM states the new thickness is 147mm, and minimum after machining is 146.6mm. This is listed for both the S and S2. My head is measuring 149.8mm. I suspect that the head thickness was changed for the S2, but not documented correctly in the FSM. Can anyone shed light on this?

Valve job. The head needs a light resurfacing. It's nice to know if you are starting with a virgin casting or not.

Are you sure your measuring from the correct spot? Sounds like you might be measuring from sealing surface for the cam cover, you need to measure from the boss for the bolt.
