Update:

So my Bosch noid light came in the mail yesterday. Tested it on the car and.....all four injector plugs flashed perfectly. Tried running it one last time with each unplugged - still no idle difference whatsoever with #3. So gonna pull them this week and off to WitchHunter they go.

Also did the soapy water test. Saw no bubbles (and I put a lot of soap in the mix) so hoping that the injector rehab does the trick. Fingers crossed..

Update:

So Witch hunter was closed due to them moving locations. I was referred to Keith at InjectorExperts.com (which is a lot closer to me) so sent my injectors there.

BIG shout out to this guy. I mailed them out on a Thursday and got a personal phone call that Sat morning from him saying that he got them and - yes - #3 and also #2 were clogged up big time. He got them back to me, I installed them and the backfire under load is completely gone will a heluva lot more pull at acceleration. What a difference this made. Nice!

There's still sosme grogginess at startup and a slight miss at idle but the vacuum test is next. Somehow I don't think it's gonna be anything huge.

And I'm not really one to promote businesses here, but for those of you considering getting your injectors done, definitely worthwhile to give Keith a shout.
