Relay Box?

Could someone shoot me the info as to where the relay box is on an 1982 924 base? I want to change the DME Relay to see if it will help with my starting problem, but I'm not sure where to find the box..

gonna start whittling down this cold start problem part by part...

thanks!

Should be in the same location as on a 924S/early 944,under the dash driver side.Btw very hard & awkward to get at.

If you have a cold start issue the relay is not the problem. Your hot and cold system and control pressures need to be tested with a proper CIS tester.

Brandon...

Does the car want to start, meaning will she catch then immediately release or does the engine just turn over without firing at all? Different potential solutions depending on your response.

*update*

so a little update.. i started up the car (dealt with the cold start after the car sat for 2 days) and drove about 30 miles to the next county. gas was low (which was strange since i had just put gas) and i pulled over to put more gas in the car.

while putting gas i noticed there was gas dripping onto the ground pooling in the center of the back of the vehicle. this was the first time i noticed this and immediately withdrew the nozzle from the tank at which point it stopped almost immediately. i figured I had put enough (keep in mind i was heading to the next county which is where my honest mechanic is) I got in the car and went to crank it and the car would not turn over. i tried jumping it.. nothing. eventually the battery weakened due to my cranking it too much. and i noticed a clicking noise. i left the car in the parking lot and decided to deal with it the next day.

towed it to the shop, and while waiting for a ride (shop is closed on weekend) i noticed a strong clicking noise when the ingition is turned into 1st position. I remembered this forum about the relay box and stretched like gumby to see the relay box and the clicking was coming from the fuel pump relay!

the car will be diagnosed properly on monday and I'm hoping its a bad relay and not a costly fix. the fuel leak is troublesome as well and will be mentioned on my phone call to the mechanic.

*le sigh*...
