944 power window problem
My power windows stopped working....help... I checked the fuse...it was fine...I replaced it anyway but still no good....is there a hidden relay or something......???? the motors are good....I can get them to work when I apply a 12 volt shot....but they will not work with there respective switches......

There should be a relay for the windows in the fuse box...there is on the "late" 944s...

Remove the switches and clean the contact areas and I will bet they work.
This a common issue and most often solved by cleaning the gunk out. Dal

Check to see if the plug separated from the window switches . If either side is out the windows wont work.

Power window relay is under the dash right above the gas pedal.

That did it.....found the relay right by the accelerator tucked under the dash.....the relay wasn't bad....one of the wires had worked it's way out of the connector.... put it back it and they work.....so how came the Porsche manual never mentions that relay..??????

OK guys...there is a relay uder the dash mounted towards the top....I can hear it click when I try to cycle the lights.....the relay is black and is double in size....that is, it looks like two relays in one long housing....it has two sets of wires going to each side.....any ideas???????
