R12 conversion resulted in lower engine temperatures

Today I decided to VAC out the R134 and recharge with R12. Last week I was at a garage sale and found a full cylinder for sale for $5. So I took my 951 to my brothers shop, we lifted it up sucked out all of the R134 and removed the esther oil. I recharged to 45~47 on the low side and around 260~275 on the high side and a few ounces of mineral oil. So I bolted the thing all back together and now with the A/C vent temp at 43~45 deg, my temp never crosses the first white line. Before the with the 134A I would sit a bit below the third line in stop and go traffic. I can't think how they relate other than possibly a lower evap core temp, or that it has to work less to achive the same cooling properties. But anyway I thought I would post my findings.
