Won't start below ~60F & unknown connectors
1983 944 won't start below about 60F. When it runs it vibrates. What is this "orange" connector at the and the other unplugged one. I'm sure that this is a temperature sensor issue related to this connector, but can't find it anywhere.

I know that the "orange" connector (single wire) is the O2 sensor and the two pronged plug is a oxgen sensor heater.
Why does the car not start if the outside temp is below about 60F??? |

Not sure if the DME temperature sensor would keep it from running at all

The DME temp sensor is on the front of the engine and has a blue connector. Cheap and easy to replace. Also, that O2 connector looks suspicious. Is it connected, broken or what?
