83 944 base with factory brakes. Anyway, rebuilt caliper pistons today on the front and put on some stainless brake lines frm Pelican. PUT it all back together but have not bled system yet, but I noticed my calipers are just touching the rotor. Will they flex out and create clearance at the rotor when I refillbleed, and pump up the hydraulics or do I have something installed incorrectly?

You are fine.
The caliper pistons will adjust after bleeding and a couple of light presses on the brake pedal. Make sure you have the caliper piston in the correct orientation to the front axle when you use the caliper piston 20 degree alignment gauge When I did the front a couple of months ago, the rear caliper seal began to leak and it became the next immediate repair. Here is a terrific link put up by member exitwound on caliper rebuilding by Scott Harvey: http://www.theexitwound.com/944/brakecaliper.doc GL J_AZ
