Dash lights fuse keeps blowing out....
Next issue comes up... ( one right after the other..) Not what I expected, but I am "still in". 87 924S ....issue: Dash gauge lights fuse keeps blowing out. I had to drive back home from Miami (1 hr) w/o any gauge lights...
Is this from a short ? how do I check that? or can this be a bad relay... Are there simple ways to start the search for finding what the problem could be? Thanks, Austin

Wild stab without a better idea, the dimmer switch is bad, or failing. Unplug it, see if the fuse still blows. If not, jump the connections and see if it blows. If not, then it is the switch.
But I am more familiar with the later cars, I don't know if it is a common issue with the 924s. |

When my dash lights on my 83 944 kept going out it was a wiring harness issue that also took out the tail lights intermittently. One of the plugs on the back side of the fuse panel had a bad pin connection. Do your tail lights work when the dash lights are out?
I don't think this is the same problem - just throwing that out there. As mentioned, check the switch. I guess it could also be a broken bulb shorted out?
