Good stuff. I'm getting ready to get my S smog cleared.
Sorting out a running hot issue, changed coolant temp sensors, fixed vacuum leaks, replaced O2 sensor. I want to keep the original cat, so I think the Alcohol is an interesting tip.

Alcohol definitely not necessary. Here are my results, when I first bought the car, before doing any of my improvements (pretty poor condition):
 Curious to see how it does next year as a basically brand new car lol (all new vacuum lines, ignition parts, fuel system etc)

Hm, Mike, you tested in California yes? Why isn't there a result for NO (PPM) as Gaw's and mine. That's what I failed on...

Contra Costa county tests for that.. and NOx is pretty much related to your cat. We'll see how mine does after I put my converter pipe back on lol...
Also I drove like 5 minutes to the smog station, and then waited for like 30 minutes to get the test done. With the cat nice and hot after some good driving I'm sure the NOx will go down a lot
