In 1a (16valves) 15-101 is "tools for adjusting camshaft settings (16-valve engines). Page 15-102 is "checking and adjusting camshaft settings". I took a pic, I'll post em tomorrow.

As a precaution, before you start to align the cams be sure to rotate the crank approx 45 degrees to ensure there will be no valve to piston contact. Once you are finished installing the cam chain and have the cams aligned, turn the crank back to TDC, put the crank lock on to hold at TDC and install your timing belt.

At least now you have the manual pages to provide to the mechanic so he has something to go by, hopefully he will be able to complete the job in a timely manner!!

Oil cooler seals are an exercise in frustration with the exhaust headers in place, but so is removing Y-pipe bolts welded to the headers with rust.
At least on the 8V heads, the exhaust valve guides are pretty worn after 150K. Depending on the mileage of the head, it may or may not be a big deal to leave them be. The smaller valves may extend the service life of the guides over the 8V head. Worn guides will accelerate wear on the valve seats leading to lower compression and additional work down the road. I would say at minimum, the valves should be lapped in and valve stem seals replaced. Pretty easy to do if you've already come all this way. Now then there's hand porting the head and intake while you wait for machine work to finish up, but that's another story...
