911 door hinge
I need some advice!
I removed the upper door hinge on my 1976 911. When I removed the last bolt, the backing plate inside the post came off and fell to the bottom. I don't know if it was simply welded on but in any event it has dropped. Any ideas on how to retrieve it other than cutting a hole in the post or an alternative fix? Thank you all for your time! |

did you mean to post this on the 944 forum?
can you put a magnet on a wire and try and fish it up?

Fair enough but give the guy a break, people on this section of the forum often have a 911 and 944 in the garage, someone could offer that help which ever model or a link to a former post in that section.......

You're going to have to fish it out because it's a pretty much sealed chamber.
