Turn signal problem, need help

I'm having a problem with the right turn signal lights. When the turn signal is on,
the front light is ON, no flashing. The rear light is flashing very fast.

I wonder if anyone had similar issues and suggestions.

Thanks

Ted

It's usually a mismatch of bulbs, have you replaced all of them with the correct and matching bulbs? I had this problem for a while when I mistakenly switched a few bulbs in the taillights when doing something back there.

A bulb may be on it's last legs, I've heard of that causing the fast blinking.

The last place besides the wiring to look is the blinker relay. You can take the housing off and clean the contact surface, it can get corroded. They are cheap to replace either way, Part # 1H0-953-227-M206.

Thanks for the suggestions. The bulb type should be OK as it's been in use for years.

I'll check the bulb itself and clean the contacts this weekend to see if that's the problem.

The problem was caused by corrosion. I sanded the contacts within the socket with a dremal tool and it's all set now.

Thanks.
