1986 944 NA injectors not firing tried all the tricks
Long story but stay with me,
My daughters joined the Navy and left her car with me to try and keep it running, I would start it about once a month or 2, and it would start fine and run in the driveway, Finally the battery died and I did not start it for 6 months, new battery and it turns over but no start, checked the fuel pump and it was not working, so I replaced the fuel pump and the DME relay and the Fuel regulator, I am getting good fuel pressure up to the fuel rail and past the regulator to the tank return, but the injectors will not fire? i can squirt gasoline in the throttle body and the car will stay running as long as i spray gas in there, I pulled the alarm box and was going to do the by pass tip but it has a aftermarket alarm called THE UNGO BOX in place of the stock alarm, it has a red push button that is supposed to reset it but when I hook up its red hot wire to the battery the alarm siren goes off, the red hot wire to the alarm has been unhooked for a couple of years and I we have never had a problem with it before, I am stumped, if my crank sensors were bad it should not stay running correct? doesn't that tell the spark plugs to fire? any suggestions would be great, |
