Hatch keeps popping open
I tried searching for this, but could only find information regarding the hatch pin seats.
All of the sudden one side of my hatch rattles loose, I suspect a sticky locking mechanism. I might also try replacing the hatch seats to give it a tighter fit. Has any one else experienced this?

You can "twist" the hatch lock about 1/3 inch CW or CCW.
You can guess at the best position if done outside of the car or you can climb into the hatch and adjust the hatch lock while your shoulder is gently lifting up the glass until you get it correct. J_AZ

There is a writeup on Clarksgarage.com for aligning the hatch pin locks that may help.

I'd suggest looking into the two receivers and operate the lock with a key. You should see both claws moving in each receiver and full travel. If not, start with brake cleaner or nut buster sprayed into the claws. Activate the lock several times to see if that frees up the claws and problem goes away. If they still hang up, slightly loosen the two nuts that hold the receiver in place. They could be too tight, jamming the claws.
If it still won't stay latched and the latches are working properly, turn the hatch pins CCW 1/2 turn and then close the hatch by pushing it down compressing the rubber seal. Repeat again until the hatch stays locked then ensure it will open with no hang-ups using the key or switch in the cabin.

Check the bond of your glass to the frame. It could be separating. The gas springs are pushing towards the back of the car with a lot of force. If the top edge of the glass, by the hinges, comes loose the whole hatch moves backwards. That much movement can shift the pins out of the locking mechanism.
