Speed and reference sensor bracket...

Before I take an acetylene torch to this car I'm wondering if there is some secret to this ridiculous bracket.

I'm trying to replace my two sensors and they are of course stuck. Not sure why Porsche would even bother securing them with a bolt honestly, they might as well be glued in. So, as much as I didn't want to, I painfully removed the pivot and locking bolt but the bracket wont come off. It appears to be hung up on a sleeve that resides in the pivot bolt hole. I have to get past it to get the bracket off and the speed sensor is running into the bell housing.

Is that sleeve part of the bell housing or is it supposed to be floating in the bracket? If its part of the bell housing, should I just leverage the bracket off?

Any info is much appreciated...

Well, I guess there is no good way to get the bracket out with the sensor in place. My options are the smash it and get a used one or remove the bell housing which isn't going to happen.

I am flummoxed.

Part of me really wants to beat the crap out of the bracket and the sensors. The other part of me just can believe that I cant get this bracket out. I think I will start drinking whiskey and decide what to do after I'm good and hammered.

A. If you have not rounded off the HEX heads of the sensor bracket bolts, you might get lucky with a wrench that has a flex head on one end.
B. You could remove the intake manifold to get more clearance. Then do a long list of WYAIT under the intake.
C. You could smash the sensor bracket but this may chip the engine block at the bolt entry points.

Finally got the bracket out and replaced the sensors. On of the two actual de-gloved itself on the way out which took some picking but no harm no foul. I am a bit surprised at the way they did this but who am I.

Thanks all for your help.

Congrats on your success. Many of us have dealt with this problem. You can't get the sensors out and the bracket will not come out with the sensors in place. Catch 22!!
After removing the intake manifold and the oil fill assembly I was able to get in with a mini hacksaw and cut the bushing/sleeve at the pivot bolt. This allowed me to get bracket out and it was all straightforward from there. I left the cut bushing in place and just bolted everything back together. It's secure, it ain't goin anywhere.
You can still buy the bushing but it is special order from Germany and big bucks. It's a press fit and probably could only be replaced with the bell housing removed.
