Question on speed/reference sensor

Hi all,

I have a start and die issue with my car. I replaced the motor mounts this winter and thought possibly I jacked the motor to high and hit the reference sensor. The car starts and immediately dies, would the reference sensor cause this issue?

I have a fuel pressure gauge, I am getting pressure during startup. Also assuming I have spark since the car does fire.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Shawn

Check your wiring connection to the AFM. That can cause this symptom.

With no reference sensor the car wouldnt start at all. It would be really tough to jack the motor high enough to smash the sensors with the torque tube still in place
