Front wiring harness

Trying to get clarification for my search to put my s4 back together.. I sourced an injection harness and engine harness but it appears there maybe a fron harness as well. Does that power the lights, fans etc?

The cooling fans have their own harness from the 14 pin connector. Sean Ratts @ 928Docs makes and sells new ones.

AFAIK, the front engine harness only provides power and connectivity to the starter, the oil pressure and oil level sensors, the ABS pump and the alternator.

Someone will correct me if I have overlooked something or if I have misspoken because I have CRS

Thanks.. I guess what I am trying to figure out as I am new to 928s is that currently have a good injector harness, engine harness that includes the starter and then it looks like there is one more harnesses that connects to the 14 pin connector by the coil?

See if this helps:
The longest Red "tail" goes to the starter
The shorter red "tail" goes to the alternator
The small "J" shaped black "tail" goes to the ABS pump

The large black harness goes across the front of the engine, under and behind the right cam past the Hall sensor and connects to the female part of the 14 pin connector.

I would tell you what the "other" small wires connect to but that would be divulging a national secret and I'd have to kill you if I told you.
Actually, since I have CRS, I can't remember what they connect to without having the harness in the correct position in the car.(Probably the AC compressor and maybe the flappy solenoid)

Ok I know I have that in good condition and got that from Mark along with the injector harness and all the other parts including the hood, air box, fans etc.. here is the car as of right now.. and yes I will fix it 100% right.. I am just trying to compile all the parts I will need for next winters project

I think you will find it much easier to do everything needed if you do pull the engine. You will probably find additional things to correct needed that you might not have seen otherwise.

Good Luck!
