Kuhn Performance Technologies question...
I couldn't send a private message and can't find the info anywhere else so I figured I'd send up this smoke signal hoping the man himself might spot it and help me out.
I'm interested in the twin turbo system for my 1988 S4. I've been watching all the supercharger vs. turbocharger debate and drama for the last few years on rennlist and here and holding off any purchase with hopes the Kuhn Performance Technologies twin turbo would become available to the public. I've been impressed with your results and the way you've deflected the critics and witch hunters using those results instead of rhetoric. Will it be for sale soon? I'm in South Carolina and could possibly bring the car to you for the install if that is an option. Thanks! |

I'm with you- I've got an 89 that I would like to modify. Not sure if I can afford it, but it's sure tempting.
BTW, I'm in SE Texas. |

to my knowledge, John hasn't offered up any kits as of yet, although the prototype (installed) has been offered to some one who wants to cough up the bucks for car and all.......
if you're looking to buy now, you're stuck with mark robinson's single/undercar kit, or one of the supercharger suppliers. ---rj

I wouldn't say "stuck" with the rear turbo- I'm seriously considering that, as the twin turbo setup seems to be a lot more powerful than I would be comfortable with. But, the twin turbo design appeals to me due to the short distance the exhaust gases travel before getting to the turbos. Plus as I understand it the tt doesn't use blow off valves, but rather some other valving to limit boost while maintaining boost levels when not under immediate demand.
SC systems don't appeal to me.

John has offered the system for sale. Interested buyers need only to contact him. I will give him a call and give him the heads up about this thread. He's been sick lately so he may not be checking the forum much.

Sorry guys, I just got over a week and half of really bad strep throat. For those interested, please call me on the business line: 859.781.9288 Leave a message and I will return your call.
I had planned to have the site up in January, but it is likely to spill over into February now. Yes, the 32V twin turbo system will be reproduced for those interested. My plans now are to get the site up and running in the next 3-4 weeks and take it from there. I'll have some other tidbits to offer as well (components, services, etc.). Thanks, JK
