When did it start doing this? Any work done to it around the same time?
We need a LOT more details, is it US or Euro? What exactly happens? Does it always happen? |

The car has been in the garage for a few months. Starts and drives fine and was perfect before being laid up. Its a UK spec one.
Yes seems to happen all the time ie you pull away fine and increase speed as soon as it gets to around 2-2500 rpm the car pulls back like its being starved of fuel. Although its not coughing or juddering. I thought at first it maybe the plug leads so ive ordered a new set but it fires up without a hitch. |

Sounds like CIS issues. You can try easy stuff like fuel filter, checking pressures and flow but it's possible that nothing will help until you rebuild the fuel distributor and WUR.
There are little filters under each of the 8 outlet fittings on the fuel distributor. It's easy to remove them with tweezers. That would be an easy thing to check without fully rebuiding the distributor.

Could also be the fuel pump - remove the rear cover and make sure non of the hoses are kinked in any way. If the pump is noisy its probably toast. Common problem when the pump is attached to the cover.
