Proper use of gasket sealant
Some of you may not know how versatile gasket sealant can be, so here are a few picks of the US 85 motor I just bought.
 This shows the benefits of liberal use of lithium grease.  Many may not realize that sufficient sealant easily replaces a thermostat.  Tomorrow the TB and heads come off, oh joy.

If sealant won't work then JB Weld certainly will
 (don't forget to get your "bonded rubber buffers" for that throttle body!..just got word mine are on the way)

Using just enough is the sign of a pro.
 An automotive artist always works with a full pallet.  Maybe JBweld is best, but look what RTV can do.  Sealing the bearing oil hole not such a good idea.

As if the poorly rattle can'd yellow valve covers didn't give you an idea of what's inside....

Looks like what they taught me in autoshop in h.s., upper east tennessee. Didn't know we were really producing mountain crafts at the same time. Kind of autoshop/art appreciation.
You must have gotten a pretty good deal, else needed something on that block pretty badly...
