Heeeeeeeeerrrreeees heidi!!!!

Well, as promised here are the pics of my 928 I have been working on... probably would have been better as a parts car, but couldn't lend myself to such action.... she needs paint and a set of tires as well as a little interior work......

That car is only about $10k away from being a $5k car! Don't take that as an insult though...I am just like you. I can hardly bring myself to part one that is running and reasonably decent to drive out! They are such great cars! Occasionally one has to give its life so others can live though. Of course if you can do all the work yourself you won't do to badly and you will have fun and learn something about 928's in the process! Good luck!

But its $10k of pure fun ... says me after spending 2hrs with a bead blaster working over my stinking intake from hell with 4 colors of evil paint inside and out.

Ebay listing was for a 86 32v 928 engine in complete running condition with a recent timing belt service and valve job. It was local and I won the bid for less than $700. Once I got the motor it was clear it had to come apart, and once it was apart it was clear the only new on it was spray paint.

OTOH a month or so later of scrubbing and scraping I have a decent short block waiting for me to use it. Link to thread with picts below.

Yep, I remember that motor. Ugly and apparently full of lies, but as Bob Barker always used to say... I saw that thread, I've seen anti-oil like that before years ago when my mother decided it was OK to drive a Taurus 50 miles without an upper radiator hose, the smell was astonishing when I drained the pan.
