To the local scrap yard. At the end it was nothing more than an empty shell with a cracket windsheld. Its' an an '86.5 and kept the suspension/brakes and the engine as a spare. Sold enough off it to break even and still had a crap load of spare parts to keep! :)

BB500 05-07-2009 09:23 PM

Imo000, are those headers from a late 70's early 80's Suzuki or Yamaha?

hi stoolie
yes..it just closed as a gas station when i was leaving..my last address was 35 Forest dr...that was..untill "she Cleaned me out"...thats when i said to my self...thats the last "kiwi" woman i ever live with or marry...i do miss all my mates!...but not new Zealand as a whole..i dont miss the F'ing Crime!...here in AZ...we open carry...(pack heat) although i do have a concealed weapons permit (CCW)...there's very little crime where i live...cos the BG's know...i do something wrong...im going to get shot...unless im at work...i always carry...like the old credit card ad..."never leave home without it!"...i came close it using it one night about 3yrs ago...drug dealing piece of cr@p thought he would pull a tazer on me..cop's told me later on...if he's within 5ft of you with that tazer (stungun not the wire feed type) in his hand...drop him....

Ehh, I used to be Federal LE Officer 10 years ago and thought it was cool to CCW for about 1 week. Carrying the damn thing all day long was long enough. My 9mm was heavy since it an issued weapon, but the chances that you'll ever use it in a REAL "self defense" scenario is next to nil. Leave it at home where you really might need it. Someone breaks into your home, f^%$ yeah, open fire on 'em.

american-kiwi 05-24-2009 04:06 PM

its too hot here to CCW (concealed carry weapon)...just open carry everywhere and in the car too...i had one DPS remove my sidearm...he was cool though...just doing his job...he pulled me over at about 1am...he couldnt see my tag on a 66 mustang that i just bought and was driving it home with the temp tag in the back window that had tints...i used to go shooting every weekend..untill!!!!...Mr Obama came to power!....doesnt matter where you shop...the shelves are empty!...for self defense...i got 15 boxes of black talon 9mm and 10 boxes of hydrashock 9mm from a sheriff...he told me..they cant use the black talon anymore...baned for LEO use and the hydra was out of date for him...bought them at $5 a box!..i also bought his older 9mm from him too...a S&W 915...sold that to a Arizona Ranger later on...she still uses that weapon...im too old to become a cop now...thought about doing the Arizona ranger thing...no age limit
i feel sorry for you guys in CA...i love the gun laws in AZ...AZ is one of the few golden states...unless you have been a noughty boy...you can have/carry a gun
the only gun that gets me tired out is my 6 inch 629-1 S&W .44 magnum...that beast is so damn heavy! (in the pic)

MPDano 05-24-2009 04:17 PM

Oh yeah, I remember the hydrashock rounds. I got them for my 45 1911 back in the day. Great round, felt sorry for anyone that would ever get shot with one of those. They leave a mess. Not much into weapons anymore since I fired most every kind in the Army. I do like the feel of a 50 Cal Machine gun though.

american-kiwi 05-24-2009 04:19 PM

you know the reason the black talon was baned for LEO use?

surgeons were complaining...everytime they try to remove the round from a guy/body ..they would cut their fingers/gloves on the sharp edges..BT's they make a mess!!..and i think they are teflon coated too..they have a shinny black coating that doesnt rub off..

MPDano 05-24-2009 04:26 PM

I believe it had to do with it able to go right through a bullet proof vest. I think. It's been banned for a long time now.
