Floor Mat Question?
Are the 86 928S Front Mats the same as the OB Mats?

They might be vendor to vendor, at some point some kind of fastener in the rear of the mat became common.

Could you be a little more clear?
Mats or Carpet? And what do you think is different? ( 86 is an OB,btw.) My 85 euro front carpet pieces are very thick, dense pile carpet with a tough, patterned, fibrous backing sown together with vinyl edgeing all around. It has a special shaped piece sewn on that fits exactly over the LH boxes with a leather snap piece. Under that is a seperate thick foam piece that provides padding and some sound insulation. That is what the factory put in my car. I have never seen or felt any auto carpet that comes close to this in thickness or quality. Some of the new stuff I have seen in other 928's is not equal and new 997 carpet is not even close. |
