He was the Porsche North America tecnical advisor on 928s (what John Veninger does now) and was the guy who came up with the koni (or bilstein)/eibach set up, figured out maximum wheel sizes and offsets, and took his '89 GT and '85 euro (I think) to the track and embarrased many 911s. He figured out what was wrong with the oil drilling on the 5l blocks which was similar to the failure on 944s as well. His pro-928 attitude got him canned from the position of tech advisor, and he has rubbed a few people the wrong way along the way also. Many take him as arrogant, but I don't.
He was a racer for many years as well and was quite good on the track. His GT now sits with 2/6 rod bearing failure.
Cool dude, and I would buy him a beer and let him talk 928s.

He has gotten in so many $hit storms on rennlist that he is not on any forum now, I think.
