FYI warranty only applies to first retail purchaser, and requires proof of purchase from a Bilstein dealer.

FYI there should also be a spring perch and threaded adjusting collar included with these shocks as well as a new top strut nut, are these parts also included??

Pretty sure you could purchase these parts here. Not much of a savings over purchasing with a warranty though. The new price is on this page too./

What i was saying is that the parts should already be in the box collar nut, lower spring perch and piston nut

OTOH I think the Bilsteins are a great upgrade, but the warranty is important since its exclusive to first retail purchaser and lifetime, otherwise no warranty and $65 plus shipping for each one to repair, but no warranty on the repair.

Mr. Merlin,
I opted for Boge for a less 'harsh' ride after I had purchased these without apparent return privileges. These parts came from Rich Bontempi of High Performance House in Redwood City, CA. When questioned, the seller told me that this is the way they are sold. I see now that they should have the associated parts that you mention. Hmmmnnnnn.........

I will note this to anyone who wants them. I guess they'll have to swap out from their original Bilsteins or if upgrading, source out the collar, adjuster, etc.

Dangleberg,
A pair of these from Intrntnl. is $550. Someone may find that $415 is savings enough for them.

...but, but if it's lacking parts and the one for 928 intl is a Complete Kit, then wheres the savings? Sorry, not bashing, just factoiding. Plus, this should be put in the For Sale Forum.

Angel P maybe you can contact the seller of the shocks and get additional parts.
In all honesty I dont think i have ever replaced a Bilstien shock .
As they seem to work for a very long time.
OTOH the Boges fly out of their perches and swap seats with the Bilstiens.
The Boge parts wont fit the Bilstiens.
Some people like the softer ride of the Boges, however i have found the stiffness of new Bilstiens seems to soften over time but they still are more controlled especially at hi speed, than the Boges.
Note i have installed new Boges on a few cars and the ride is nice, just not as firm

I contacted the seller and left message for him to call me back. I will express to him once again that he should supply me with the additional accessories that did not arrive with these shocks.
I still wish to 'part' with them. (ha-ha.)
Mr. Merlin,
You may know me (of me). I am 'Stylemobile' on Rennlist. I was in the middle of the big Leslie and Kevin debacle when Kevin worked on my car in an altered state of consciousness, dropped a steel washer in my intake manifold destroying my engine and refused to accept any resposibility for it. You had a comment or two on the subject posted as I recall. Well, I have since replaced the engine and all is fine except for the $5000 and countless hours Kevin cost me with his blunder. These shocks that I am selling were payment for his work. He sent them back to me out of embarrassment and/or to possibly avoid any record of being 'paid' for the work to avoid a lawsuit.
