I know on later radios (aftermarkets), there was a blue wire that powered the antenna. Have you tried to put direct power to your antenna? Disconnecting the stock power connector on the antenna first of course.

the crimped is direct from end of antenna , the bundled red brown white (hatch motor?) and the blue black white seems to be useless wire from hatch to under seat dside. So where do the antenna (crimped) wires go.

You can get to your electric antenna by removing the rear wheel drivers side panel inside the wheel well (tub). Remove the screws that hold the panel on. It will be easier with the rim off too. This will give you full access to your antenna and the wires. You can then see the wire colors there. I am not at home so I can't tell you the wire colors, but i removed mine a long time ago. I put a Shark Fin on my roof for the AM/FM/Satellite antenna.

OK if i put power just to the antenna wires then which is pos / neg of the three?

I got a mast/cable for antenna unit, but to feed/install , the radio has to turn on power antenna motor up, then feed wire through antenna hole by turning the radio off.

I can fix antenna first off and have a working unit, then where/how? to take the 3 ant. wires and hook up.

theres a pioneer radio/cd player wired in there (like 1989 working junker)
yellow= +12v constant
red= 12v switch
black= ground
blue/white = remote on

speakers =
white/ wh-blk front left grey/ gry-blk front right
grn/ grn-blk rear left violet/ vio-blk rear right

ALL WORKING but no antenna, how do the cut wires get connection? HELP!!

On my 86 the White wire powered the antenna amplifier and triggered the power amp in the Pod next to passenger seat. I think Brown is ground. Always check with your meter before hooking up.

course everyones is different depending on what buying/wiring/modifying in

kidding right! basics is getting a ignition(red), constant (white), ground (black blue) Dont Quote Colors

manual for pioneer specific the model i have for colors which i did post and colors for porsche factory harness colors by manual specific to 82us. was first start

undoing wired in and hacked out wires from only knows who did what - added wires from a broken antenna/ for connector and to run wire front to back - tested for power turned radio on and antenna motor ran up. pulled broken one out paying attn to way teeth side feed through, directions on the mast/cable pkge, feed the new part/wire down into antenna . beautiful. button everything back up sweet!

*I think, which i dont have one of and spare didnt work that theres a relay so when car shuts off the antenna will go down automatically , mine doesnt have to shut radio off before shutting off car. Dont p-cars antennas go down auto?

My headlights stay up/not on too if i forget to shut them off before turning off car, correct?

nice to have radio for current events - wheather- some of those hilarous morning talk show peeps - other than that .... motor on.

Maybe reconnecting that rear wiper motor thats hacked too.
