1 down !!! who's next

disclaimer: speed kills!
that being said, running a little late this morning i am clipping along i-95 north from de to pa for work, clipping at about 80mph, in passing a on ramp i see to my right a mustang gt, i notice him and he see's me, anyway he presses my tail , i say to myself whats this all about??? so i change lanes, he changes lanes, we do this for a mile or so and i look down im running 85/90, then he makes his move to my right, i speed up he speed up, i slow down he slow down, then i realized the sound of his exhaust is pitchy( like at the top or close to the top) so i slow again to about 80 and he doe's the same! i then pull a fred flintstone(put my foot through the floor) at about 110 he no longer wanted to play with me. so whoever you were i am sorry but know this i will spank that a$$ again given the opportunity! THAT MADE MY DAY

I am going to post something here and I am very sorry if you take it the wrong way, In the heat of your moment today YOU have to realize as well as he does that it is not just you and him on the road, him being an idiot is one thing but you doing the same is another thing all together, just because you drive a porsche doesn't make you Mario Andretti. I am driver for the canadian military and I am on the road a lot, I see accidents all the time and it is because people are just plain retarded or speed is another factor. In your case you have done both today, I was the first person on scene today of a really bad accident where the guy in the vw jetta pictured below was SPEEDING, he ran into a family doing 130km/h. it was a head on accident, the 4 year little girl who I gave first aid to was in severe shock, her dad who was driving now has a punctured lung and a broken leg and is on his way to surgery, the oldest daughter was on the phone with the dads parents at time of impact, I had to break the news to them the family was in a auto wreck. this guy in the pic, we had to use jaws of life to extract him because his dash was on his lap, blew the front of the drivers side completely off. This was today. I am not telling you to drive by any means, you are old enough to make your own decisions, whether careless or not but just remember, it might not be you that pays the price, there is always a family driving too.

I hate when the safety nannies feel a need to blah blah about families in minivans.

You mean street racing is dangerous?

Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!

We all have it in us. And the rear bumper say PORSCHE, which says "please race me byatch."

It just happens, just be careful.

I get stupid from time to time, but I try real hard to make those extra stupid times rare and under the best visual conditions I can.

i understand trucker'S advice and i feel for the families involved. i DO NOT make it a habit to highway race per se, and it was early and definately clear for at least a mile or maybe even two so i accepted the challenge, i have a wife and 3 kids so i understand the concern, but know this i am building this car back to as good as possible to just enjoy and cruise! i own a suzuki gsxr 1397cc, ape big block with flattop gas ported pistons, 40 mm carbs, with a lock up clutch, 10 in arm and a progressive nitrous setup, 8.50 on motor.8.00 on gas,THATS WHAT I DO FOR MY SPEED RUSH! ONLY ON TRACK, NEVER ON THE STREET. With that being said, I APOLOGIZE to all who feel MY ACTIONS were innapropriate, even tho' i dont have to justify my actions!

Doesn't seem all that fast 0-60, about the same as my wife's Lincoln.

Everyone has and does it once in a while. Why else would any of us have bought and bring back to life these cars.

Driving a Porsche does bring out certain traits in other drivers of sports cars or street rods. It is tempting to be lured into doing something stupid. I recently had some idiot in a Vette see me then he put the foot down and made a lot of smoke and spinning tires. I let the fool go. Let him get the ticket or into an accident.

Eh, you would have smoked him in your 32V. Good choice.

Dude-

First of all, ignore that individual with the red and black avatar. He's a loser and knows nothing. His name is m21sniper; He likes to think that he's a gun guy, but he lives off social security [namely, all of us that WORK~]

Then-

These cars are BIG BOYS TOYS. I'm guilty of running my car up to seriously illegal speeds on I-95 in Florida, but I certainly don't make a habit out of it. My S2 seems to like 110 mph- it does this effortlessly, and though the RPMS are high, it doesn't seem like it is trying, since it is about 1/4 throttle. I-95 north of West Palm Beach is typically a 90 mph road, and I generally run around that speed. If you get stopped for speeding in Florida and you are 100 mph or higher, you GO TO JAIL. There is no debate- they take you to jail in this state, period. I've found that at 90 mph I don't have to look at my speedometer, and since I'm just with the Camry's and minivans in traffic, that I don't need to worry about my speed.

What is really dangerous is when one car is going 110 and the others are doing 65-70. The closure rate is what gets people into trouble for the most part: One person pulls in front of the other, and the brakes on the second car aren't strong enough to stop in time. This is what also kills the majority of motorcycle drivers who get killed.

N!

Guess it's time to put you on ignore.

Bye N!

Honestly, this is the tech section, i am sure i speak for everyone when i say, don't be letting grudges you hold from PPOT/PARF affect the quality of discussion here.

Here in Oklahoma the Safety Council ran a TV ad for about a year. It had a highway patrolman stating some statistics. The ad basically said...20% of fatal accidents involve speeding and 80% of drivers are speeders, so slow down. I want to know what they are doing about those 20% of drivers that aren't speeding and causing 80% of fatal accidents!
