79 928 5 speed rear axle boot replacement

i just peaked under the car and saw that the 2 rear inner axle boots are torn and need to be replaced. how hard are they to replace and is it easier to R&R with the gas tank out of the car. i have the tank out at the moment. anything special about taking them out.
