928 WorldWide.com/company still runnin?

Does anyone know if this company still running? He is not selling items on ebay anymore and is not a registered member. I've tried to contact him since I already paid for parts but I haven't heard anything back. Any clues about what's going on?

MPDano 07-12-2010 02:48 PM

He's long gone and has posted his business for sale a few weeks back. Not sure if it's worth it for you to pursue him. Let us know if you find anything out.

I stopped selling 928 parts.

The Website and inventory is for sale. Please work it out with paypal if you paid through there, if not, contact me at sales@928worldwide.com and I will review any claim. I saw several cases opened on paypal that they immediately refunded the buyer- no reason to expect otherwise for you. I will assist you anyway I can. Too many bogus claims and non paying bidders etc etc....

Complaints: Protecting Pennsylvanians - Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General

Thanks for this information from another forum. I will be filing a complaint if Mason chooses not to honor his sale with me. I have, saved in our complete e-mail history, his word stating he will do so. I'll give him some (more..) time to respond to my latest post and e-mails. If not, this seems to be the legitimate and appropriate way to file a complaint. I would urge you to do so also Kamet, and anyone else who has a legitimate outstanding claim if it goes unsettled.
Our transaction was not handled through e-bay.

928worldwide 07-15-2010 12:47 PM

Replacement parts were shipped to you Ben. Be patient.

928worldwide 07-15-2010 12:49 PM

Paypal monies on the last few transactions I ran were withheld from me and I never recv'd the funds.... this is why I suggested dealing with paypal direct....As it seems they refunded everyone, or will not leave anything open.... Sorry for any confusion.... The transition to new owners was a bit bumpy.

sonett3 07-15-2010 02:38 PM

I guess he could not take the heat and got out of it. Funny I saw this coming.

firefighter7128 07-15-2010 06:59 PM

Judging by the posts, I would assume this is not his fault.... totally.
I had an internet business for 13 years... then i switched to paypal and it was shut down within a week. Huge mess. I know from past expeirince that you will be doing both parties a favor if you file a paypal claim. Paypal will reward you your refund. I restarted my business with a merchant acct and am trying to rebuild. I was a "Horror Story Of The Month" at paypalsucks.com. I even built a website with free info on how to make an internet business and strongly sugest NOT using paypal. Home - Start A Business yourself. Paypal if great for a buyer but horrible for a seller. I lost a boat and $1000's which paypal still has locked up.

Bravisimo!

Now multiply your experience times 2 years and many more thousands in losses....and be willing to suck it up and take on the chin while dealing with very harsh public criticism by cowards who aren't legit.... JUST BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE CAR, and many of the (RIGHTEOUS) owners.

It didn't add up. But I turned a few heads didn't I? lol..... and they said it wouldn't last . IT will out survive my ownership for a long time. People can talk about me, and say what they think I am. That's nothing new since day one. For most of you, I delivered. The rest were failed by 25 year old parts not meeting their stringent criteria.

<Nothing Personal against Mark @ Intl, I respect him totally and think he is a warm and caring person with the 928 and all it's details well in hand, and had great vision for getting started with this Porsche underdog so many years ago...I just know that the prices they charge made owning a 928 difficult for me, and decided to get off my fat butt and do something about. 928ww, it's 1000's of orders, and subsequent SALE OF THE ENTIRE OPERATION to a new owner has made me feel vindicated in my endeavor, and proven the merit of my experiment. After all, that's what it was. AND NO, I'm no trust fund kid. Not even close...... anyone who knows me knows this.

There just is no reason to pay these prices (and the public very obviously agreed):
$400 Leather Door Panel

THIS ONE is interesting. When I had 10 on ebay for $200 the price on 928intl.com was similar. Look at it today ($400)

This one is creeping back up too

I sold about 5 of these in mint condition for around $200

So the gang bangers of the 928 world (who are all mega geek puzzies for sure- not ONE would EVER throw down, but all will chatter away ) think it matters what they say?.... they always thought that. IT DOES NOT. I wrote the history of my experiment chapter by chapter. I made the choices which caused any success or failure. I am glad to know all of you, and as I said before, am eager to rejoin the ranks of hobbyist 928 owners who still enjoy their cars.....

One thing you will not see, is me selling 928 parts again.... I got my fill and am moving on to the next challenge- after all, that's my M.O. in case ya didn't know.....

M

Mason, I would still appreciate a tracking number for the parts you sent. I have no way of knowing if you actually sent them. It can't be that hard to contact UPS and find out where the 'missing' package is. How long do you reasonably expect me to be patient? You've made empty promises twice now and have strung me along for over a month. A little proof of shipment? Not unreasonable all things considered. I'll give you a week to produce the parts or give my verifiable information on they're location. Then, parts or no parts I will file complaint with the state of PA wherever that my lead. This is ridiculous.
As for stringent expectations of parts? One cam cover had a HOLE in it. The intake manifold had severe corrosion around the mating surfaces. There is a thread with pictures on Rennlist for those interested in viewing. I did not make the decision if the part was usable. I asked the group. Their concensus was that the part was bad, so I got in touch with you and you agreed to send a different one.
I'm done publicly posting about this mess. Mason, between you and me I would love to get the parts and be done with this. I'll give it a week and you the benifit of the doubt one last time. If they're lost in the mail I hope they find their way to my home and you can provide legit tracking information. My complaint will be filed next Friday if you can't find a way to make that happen. If you have any words you'd like to exchange with me about the missing parts you know how to reach me via e-mail and RL pm.

Mason - you once again prove that you are a world class *******. You just don't get it, and you never will. Bye bye!

Sorry to hear about this Mason. I had many good transactions. Thanks for the time you had.

ben_in_austin 07-20-2010 03:57 AM

Mason, any update on my parts that were 'lost' in the mail 2 weeks ago?
Is the buyer of your business aware of your outstanding claims and will he/she be honoring the people you didn't settle accounts with?

928worldwide 07-20-2010 04:28 AM

Ben,
They were returned to us yesterday, I guess the address was wrong. Strange the same thing happened when you sent your return in.

Sending again to John BLocker dr. I'm using stamps.com and it doesn't track packages...POS

ben_in_austin 07-20-2010 04:34 AM

Mason, send it UPS or Fedex and PM me the bill. I'll cut you a check for shipping if you can provide me a tracking number.
PM sent with my address again for you to double check.
