Starting the engine after not running for a year

I'm restoring a 82 928 that has been in storage for over a year. Any advise on things I should do before trying to start the engine?

Time to get that car down the road where it belongs.
First just drain the oil cold filter too. Have a few of your favorite beverages while it drains. Pull the plugs spray WD-40 into all the cylinders. Refill the crankcase with your oil of choice. Roll engine over by hand (ratchet on the crank bolt). Then spin engine with starter WD-40 will fly all over so cover holes with rags. Put plugs back in and fire it up. When you are done joy riding change all the other fluids and filters. Brake, power steering, transmission, transaxle, radiator, You can leave the air in the tires but should add alittle.
78 928 stored for two years no problems.

I usually like to run the fuel pump and drain out the tank completely. Fuel doesn't have a good shelf-life (think of it like yogurt), and sitting for more than six months at a time tends to break it down and make it somewhat gummy...
