Not sure about the euro's but the early US 928 all had the same wiring with 2 sets of pump connectors even if only equipped with one pump.

If you have 2 sets of wires then you should have 2 pumps if your only running one pump the make sure the other wires are secure.
The wires are in the same rubber negative and positive boot - they are of the same length and look to only reach the external pump's terminals. There is power to only one positive wire. Weird. Is there usually ONLY one positive and negative wire that goes to the external pump?

What type of connectors are on the wires? The connectors for the intank pump would be female blade connectors. If all of the connectors are the round eyelet type, it may be wired for 2 external pumps but the second set should be long enough to reach the right fenderwell. Do you see male blade connections on the tank where the fuel line exits?

In the rubber boots, there are two round eyelets of positive and negative each. Also, there are two wires ( no power to them when I tested ) that do have the male and female connectors on both.

Sounds like it is a midpoint connection for something like the reverse switch. At this point I would check the wire colors against the wiring schematics in the WSM.

Got the car running. Had bad gas, bad pump, poor ground at pump and a melted fuse behind the panel.

You all are amazing help and I appreciate it greatly!!!
