rear shocks
do you guys recommend any place to buy rear shocks for my 82 928, as well as ball joints, I need to pick both up.

Anyplace that sells Bilstein can get the shocks made for all the 928's, so prices vary. Pelican is fine for ball joints.

have you guys ever heard a shock called sachs, I was looking on autopartsway.com and that is what they list, I have never heard of them, just wondering if anyone else has

Sachs is the OEM shock. I am a Koni guy myself. I love the ability to adjust the shock to the car. Bilstein's are great, and a lot of people like them. Others have said they are too harsh for a street car daily driver. YMMV

BTW, Sachs has quit making shocks for the 928 (so I have been told), so when the current inventory runs out, everybody will be forced towards Koni and Bilstein.

boge's were the original equipment,
Sachs and boge merged in the mid 1990's. |
