Strangely reminds me of Corvette Summer.... To me its kinda sad. I've been hobby-building cars all of my adult life, its fun but I've come to that uncomfortable acceptance that if I modify the car, I will almost certainly lose part of the money I "invested." The more I modify, the more I lose. I've tried to rationalize it every way possible but the only thing that works is that I enjoy doing it. This guy probably enjoyed it too - and now its time to pay.

I would not touch it! Too many mods, not done right or should have never been done. Go buy a kit car of some sort instead. But if one likes it and their money, who cares. I see people here putting tons of money in old beaters. Ok if you like spending all your time on them instead of driving them I guess.

There are some stock 928's in good shape, ready to enjoy driving. Find a good one and enjoy driving it. Even if you spend $15,000, for a well kept documented car. You can go spend that for some new cracker box that is not even close to a 928.

Somewhere there's a 300z missing it's headlights...ewww.
I 'm not one of those purist that hates body kits. I really like the Strosek and some others but that one is just....bad.

I like how the body mods are not mentioned at all.

but am i correct in saying that for even a pretty good condition '83 car that would be asking somewhere in the top end range of pricing?

Owning a 928 is risky business - but sometimes you just gotta say "what the fudge".

I find the whole car flipping thing distasteful. All I see is somebody screwing the former owner or their family, and looking to screw the new owner, with zero real interest in the car.

As someone who has purchased a 928 with questionable rear bumper skin I would also say pass on this one. Although I think the skin on mine is better. This one is the Farrah Fawcett (but i've lost a ton of weight and my ass is way boney) rear. ; )
