Problem with power steering wheel

Just recently purchased 1981 Porsche 928, has a problem when U turn the power steering wheel - its never stops((( So I think something wrong in column, but know what exactly, anyone can help?

If it doesn't stop that would be the brakes ....

Something inside the steering rack is my guess, might as well rebuild the rack while its out. Good time to do the oil pan gasket and motor mounts as well.

Post more info, location, etc for more details on help.

Does it turn? It sounds like the aluminum coupler attaching the shaft to the rack is loose.. and probably stripped.

Do you mean the steering wheel does not lock out at the extreme point?

I hope it didn't have an automatic transmission, if so that will be one expensive tow.
