What exactly is the point of parting your car out....? People that part out good cars are complete idiots. You wont make a dime, and even if you do, all you have accomplished is killing another porsche.

What will happen is this: any useful or coveted part will be bought early on and will leave you with an unuseable/undrivable car. You may possibly make a little bit of cash from it, but then you are left with a shell for which you either have to pay someone to come pick up or spend your time/money/gas delivering it to a crusher. Until that time comes, you have to deal with the unsightly remnants of a partially dismantled car. You will also have to spend your time dismantling the interior bits and also time keeping the interior sealed from the elements as rain soaked and ruined interior bits are worth absolutely nothing.

All in all, what is your time worth to you?

You would be better off getting the car running and selling the car complete. You may get less for it, but again, what is your time worth?

List of prime desired parts from a 1980 928;

Nothing but the generic stuff that fits other models, body parts to local buyers etc.
