RE: Wheel offset question

Hello!
I usually don't participate in the 928 forums, since I own a 944S2 (but don't hold that against me!)

Quick question: does anyone know the offsets of the 16x7 stock wheels of a 1983 928?

The front wheels of my 944S2 have a 55mm offset, with a 143.9mm backspacing. Would I be able to mount the 928 wheels on my car, or would I need spacers?

Looking at Excellence June 1995 issue the 83 928 had 7Jx16
backspacing is 153.9mm and 65mm offset. this is front and back as the wider wheels did not enter the scene till 87 and only the back went to an 8 inch wheel. same back space just 52.3mm offset.
Your factory wheels are 143.9mm backspacing 55mm offset front and 153.9mm backspacing 52.3mm offset rear. unless you have the M30 option. Sorry the only four banger I own is a 914.
