trans wont down shift from 2nd to 1st

car shifts fine but when slowing down and shifting from 2nd to first it wont engage unless im at a full stop. wont even engage at a slow roll less than 5 mph.
never worked on 5sp before but not afraid to get my hands dirty. im thinking maybe an adj on the clutch rod or is there something silly im missing.

There may be a height adjustment on pedal but you will still need the same amount of movement to disengage. It's a self adjusting hydraulic clutch. If your clutch isn't disengaging until the very bottom it could be a couple of things. The clutch could have air in it or the intermediate plate could be out of adjustment causing the discs to drag.

Pete,

How do you adjust the intermediate plate? And, If I bleed the clutch master to purge it of any air, where do I fill it up? Does it run off of the brake fluid?

I know I jumped into the post, but my shifting problems might be this as well.

Thanks for your help

When I bled my slave cylinder I filled it from the clutch master on the drivers side. If you don't have a manual for the car go to the website sharkskin Porsche there is a ton of info
