update
hi all!
Have not posted in a while, between working and FINALLY moving into the new house, I have been worn out...have not really even touched the 928, which really frustrates me, as I planned on having her running by the end of last summer... The gas tank is ready to put back in, but I got power in the shop now, so pretty proud of that accomplishment...only have (1) light, and (1) quad outlet, so I need to do more wiring.... ![]()

Looks like a great garage to start with. Could be your spray booth as well.
With that big service sub-panel, I'd run dedicated 20 amp circuits for the fluorescent work lighting (overhead and sides) with 4'x(2) flourescent fixtures. 1 circuit for the left bay and 1 circuit for the right if you have one. Try an buy the old fluorescents and not the new eco type which are not as bright. And just flip the appropriate breaker to activate them. Dedicated 20 amp GFCI protected for the outlets.. Get it set up right and you'll get tons done on that deserving car. Glad your moved in and everything is going well. Look forward to seeing progress..

Good eye Pete! You should see the outdoor panel...200Amp Main with (4) blanks and the meter base, feeding the interior panel 200A. Got a switch duty 20a arc fault breaker on the lighting circuit, and a 20a ground fault breaker feeding the 2gang outlet box. The light is a 3-way halogen, that I had new in the box for the past 4-years...puts off nice heat..lol..
Fixer (what is your name anyhow??)...I have 3- dual bulb 4' T-5 florescent lights for the high bay (14ft), that is where the lift will go eventually...What I did was the bare minimum to pass inspection. I will wire a 30 amp circuit to circle the large bay. Large bay will also have an actual light switch on the wall. I will then run dedicated circuits for whatever equipment I put in, (air compressor, tire machine, welder, lift, etc). Right now, I need dry ground so I can get the 928 out of the small bay, and move my tools and junk (4-wheeler, lawn mower, etc) to the small bay. I have all the breakers, switches, outlets, boxes, etc. I need for the job, just not the wire. Also have a 2-ton mini-split heat pump to install. I was planing on running all the wire in MC cable, and then insulate the walls, on down the road....My plan was to use the small bay for tools, parts, parts washer, and domestic equipment storage, with the ability to use it for a car as needed. I also have a small bay, open on 3-sides on the other end, I want to put (2) sealed fluorescent fixtures there. I can always make a "Dean Fuller" style paint booth with that, but I am thinking your place might be where she is headed..lol Look at the "blog" link under my name and I believe you'll see a pic of the shop. Dean...thanks! A little more to do IN the house...mount TV's and pictures, etc on the walls, finish the bonus room above garage (a whole 'nother story), build my home theater room in the basement, a lot to do in the yard, but that will be spring...Also waiting on Jim Doerr to send me a lower piece of the air box so I can hook up the air tubes...lol...but, gotta get the tank in and leak check the fuel line job I did back in May...

Pete, Yes, it is from Bennett Buildings, in Georgia. It was put up in 2-days, (would have taken a day, but they were missing some parts.) it is very well built, with galvanized beams, and baked on enamel, even the bolts are painted. It is 21'x44', cost $8,250., pad was $2,500. I have some partial build shots I'll post up soon.
Brian...thanks bro! I'll holla at you.

Ron - really like the garage and price. Went to Bennett's web page but nothing like this one was there. Would you mind passing a link or contact? BTW the wife and I are retiring and building in Franklinton, NC. Which Morrisville to you live in? The one near Raleigh or Charlotte? Thanks randy

Near Charlotte. I'll find a link...I did not like my dealer very much, he was lame, but they are scattered throughout the state....looks like you are closer to Raleigh... Only two hours from me...

Try this link: Storage Sheds in Goldsboro | Why Rent a Storage Building When You Can OWN a Bennett Building?
It is the style first one....they call it a barn. I will be happy to send you my quote sheet, and the order tag (pm me your email). Get with me sometime, and I'll be happy to show you mine, so you can get a look at one up close and personal.

Lol...it's really sweet for the cost....I wish I had enough to customize it...you can get it taller, 3 closed bays, etc....I was lucky to be even able to squeeze it into my home loan....money was tight...
