Away I go...

Bon Voyage! Heading to Florida to hop on a big A$$ cruise ship for a week of well deserved R&R and an unhealthy amount of fruity umbrella drinks!

No phone, no net...and GASP!!! No 928!!!

But she'll still be here when I get back. See you in a week or so my friends!

Cruising, love or hate, still adds 10 lbs.

Lots of beverages on a cruise ship are REALLY expensive, so your hard core drinkers buy a lot of booze by the bottle in duty free shops and pour their own. Make sure to bring some thermos cups, and/or bottled water.

Many ships have little specialty food/drink spots with a nice selection of 3 pm "tea" goodies, little sandwiches and desserts.

Cell phone and wifi can be very pricey onboard ship, but usually some free places in ports.

Beware most ports have dozens of jewelry store chain outlets, usually not that good of prices even at best no matter how they appear. Take notes, pictures about what you like and find online later cheaper.

Wife drug me on a cruise last year, then I kind of liked it and she didn't.

Have fun! Did that Caribbean Cruise as well. My favorite island is St Thomas, then St Maarten. Post pics, you know that's mandatory

I flew to St. Thomas, chartered a 42 ft. sail boat with skipper for a week, then stayed in a condo on St. John's. Had a great time, did our own thing, went where we wanted to, took the dingy into restaurants/resorts every evening. No worry about getting stuck on a ship with 4,000 other people and no water.

Thanks all...board in the morning....this is our 7th, so well versed...I love the rum drinks!

Ran into a snag...the guest we are bringing, my daughters friend..did not bring her birth certificate...no passport, so she ain't getting on without it! Got hold of her mom, who ran to the courthouse, got a certified copy, and fedexed it to us at the hotel....supposed to be here by noon! Dang....

Nice ship. Here are some of ours, last ones are just before the camera was destroyed on Maho Beach on St Maarten by the jetliner blast of sand.
