Much better. Now place your wood blocks under the tires for backup. It's always good to have multiple failsafes.

Yea! And congrats on the new head....
Now, make the proper upgrade step and get porkens lift bars (Liftbars) I LOVE mine! |
Porsche emblem on the wheels should point at the valve stems.
Forth pict looks like reflection of C3PO in the door. |

[QUOTE=desertspirit;7838537]Actually, I was thinking of his comment with regard to the paint on the vehicle. This is an '86 and this color is original paint, a dark brown metallic, actually very beautiful when I put some wax on it.
I have not seen too many vehicles this color. In fact, I have seen none. That a reflection of an android can be seen in the paint speaks volumes to me, not only about the paint but the origin of the vehicle's engineering. Obviously the engineers were advanced in their thinking, perhaps androids themselves. That color is somewhat rare and looks great. It appears to be Nutmeg Brown. Had an 80 euro back in the day a friend brought back from Germany and think it had to have been a custom color. Could not find it anywhere. 928 AUSTRALIA - Shark Colours - 492 - Muscat Brown Those jackstands look a whole lot safer. Don't treat helmets like they are a bad thing. I have numerous skin grafts on the top of my head to from a low speed crash back in the day along with 14 fractured ribs. Had a few bikes in the past, pics below. 77tony http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806338.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806637.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806728.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806740.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806755.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388806765.jpg |
The brown car is actually an 86.5, based on the rear jackpoints.

[QUOTE=desertspirit;7838182] the doctor told me I needed a new head, and of course a new brain to go with it. I told him that I wanted the best parts used in his overhaul.
So with a new head and new brain, I have some new pics to share with you. Perhaps this post too will be distasteful to some, but hey, what can I say? Go have a nice day and do not drink. QUOTE] 2nd heads always work better than the first one, - I'm onto about my 4th, memory not so good, think it has something to do with the bolt through my neck Welcome back.;) |

Also, you're down far enough now, you may as well consider replacing your cam seals and all the various rubber bits on the valve covers (something like 17 rubber seals/gaskets each, ridiculous). Do your vacuum and fuel lines if you haven't already. You've been so busy tangling with everyone I forgot what you are actually in here to do - sorry.
