That a reflection of an android can be seen in the paint speaks volumes to me, not only about the paint but the origin of the vehicle's engineering.

Obviously the engineers were advanced in their thinking, perhaps androids themselves.

That color is somewhat rare and looks great. It appears to be Nutmeg Brown. Had an 80 euro back in the day a friend brought back from Germany and think it had to have been a custom color. Could not find it anywhere.

Those jackstands look a whole lot safer. Don't treat helmets like they are a bad thing. I have numerous skin grafts on the top of my head to from a low speed crash back in the day along with 14 fractured ribs. Had a few bikes in the past, pics below. 77tony

Tobacco aka Tabac paint code 464 was a 1979-1980 928 color. Nutmeg aka Muscat, code 492 was a 1985-1986 color. It might have been a special order ? You could walk into a Porsche dealership back in the day with a color sample and Porsche would match it-for a price $$$$. Whats the paintcode on your door ? T

Step 1: remove strut bar...

remove it as said above. never heard of it having so much flex to crack a windshield. Once you have it off and it being a flimsy aluminum, you'll see why I said that. Most of those bars are actually bent.

Also, you're down far enough now, you may as well consider replacing your cam seals and all the various rubber bits on the valve covers (something like 17 rubber seals/gaskets each, ridiculous). Do your vacuum and fuel lines if you haven't already. You've been so busy tangling with everyone I forgot what you are actually in here to do - sorry.

I could see it happening as some kind of freak accident when lowering a car down off of jack stands one side at a time...but even then...seems remote.
