Floor mats: Old vs new

I didn't know my old ones looked so bad. But they are 32 years old.

I chose the mats for power seats even though my original seats were manual and i added power sport seats to the original seat mounts. Choices were manual seats or power seats. Mine are a hybrid but the new mats seem to fit well with the power seat fitting option selected.

My Lloyd's mats still look pretty good, minus some seam wear on the rear parts, but they are black and show less dirt.

Your before mats look like non Lloyds, maybe factory mats?

Make sure the driver side is locked down at the rear, they can creep forward and make the throttle stick open.

Didn't, slipped forward and I tossed it in the back. Some have two round holes in the rear to hook to some kind of floor anchor, others I've seen have straps on the bottom. Mine had some kind of big pins, like stick pins, but it stays in the back until I can secure it. I had the seat out doing something, so I may have messed something up.

BTW floor mats can really clean up with the right treatment, like a pressure washer in the driveway. Depends of course on the mat and materials.

Dumb question...
If I remove my "mats", it's just the metal floor underneath. Are these actually not mats, but part of the factory carpeting? Driver's side has black rubber towards the top.

If they are the mats, how can they move since they are anchored to the floor with button snaps? I think mine have been underwraps since new. Thinking about getting a set with a logo and thought they'd snap right in like what I already have.

Nice original interior with original carpets. A lot of the pics seem to be the Lloyd's mats or similar.

Carpet looks something like this, note cutout for accelerator. My 85 has a separate piece behind the clutch and brake pedals, not sure if that is normal.

Mats tend to ONLY go where feet usually go.
