If I kill this plow driver, will I get off?

Before the numbnuts started, there was a bright red 928 parked here. This is what I saw when I went out this morning.

I have to find a judge / jury that likes Porsches.

Took me 6 hours to dig it out by hand.

What was he thinking? Have you tracked him down? He trashed your car!

That sucks! Was the snow plow driver a privateer? Why was he plowing up into your driveway? Hope you can get it back on the road especially after all of the work you have been putting into it.

I share a driveway. He plows for my neighbour, was "trying to be helpful"

I found out who he is, asked him nicely to come & "discuss" it - he was too busy - "maybe tomorrow"

If I don't have a visit from him by noon tomorrow, there will be cops involved.

uBoat, I'm very sorry.
That's almost too much to look at, I got mad for you.

A lot of the guys around here are privateers. Every jack-ass with a pick-up, puts a plow on his truck in an attempt to get some extra money.
My point would be that I doubt that most of these guys carry the insurance they should have to perform these services, etc. Then you might get into dealing with the neighbor who "employed" the contractor -- it has the potential to be a real mess. So I would call the police, at least to have a accident report on file.

Hang in there.

Guy cut me a check for $1500.

He's 75, Unemployed, uninsured, and plows driveways for all the churches around here for free.

In the end, I just was not able to put the screws to him.

Admirable, but maybe the 75 year old should retire from the plow business before he hurts someone.

It looks like he was backing up with the plow high and took out the fender. Your wheel seems ok. He then probably buried it because the was probably drunk. By the time you noticed it he would be sober. just my theory

You are 100% correct. He pushed the snow up on top, let down the plow on top of the car, then backed off. I still have not found the rest of the fender.

It was 2am when he did it, and when I met him today he reeked of booze.

Says he has been plowing 30 years - you can tell when someone knows what they are doing with a plow, and this guy just didn't have it.

I spoke with the police prior to his visit, they said they would get him for a hit & run if I wanted. I just could not be the guy to completely destroy the old man's life over a fender.

Wow, that's one for the books uboat commander.

About 6 years ago I was leaving work late at night and was hit by a couple
of 20 something Drunks but they were in a 951 and i a pickup.

I felt bad for them they seemed nice but were a little tipsy.
So I let them hide in the house i was renovating.
The 951 caught fire and about 5 minutes later
we heard it explode and police cars show up.

I told them i wouldn't turn them in, i just wanted a new bumper.
They both agreed to buy me one.
(They caught the end of my bumper as they swerved) and hit a cast iron
road sign and medium sized tree. They were really moving.

Anyway like you, I didn't want to see them arrested and took them home in my truck
once the coast was clear.

The next day they both tried to sue me saying their necks were sprained.

Lots of times facing the consequences of their actions is much better for a person than getting away with it.

That is an amazingly easy reaction to have. Heck, look at the title of my OP - I wanted to kill the guy & get away with it.

Tell me how you feel when you have a 75 year old guy tell you his life story, how he is an unemployed mechanic because of RA, when he is standing three feet in front of you and he takes his hat in his hands as he asks for forgiveness, while at the same time handing you a check drawn from one of the churches he works at.
