hatch back question

My nieghbor has a 86- 928. The ball that clips into the pressurized lift has broken off of the hatch and the one on the body is bent. Is there a replacement part availble for this?

How is it attached?

By the way, I was referred to this site by a member of the Z-cars discussion board. I collect and restore 70-83 Datsun Z-cars. (don't hate me). After seeing my nieghbor's 928 I might have to get me one of those. Just don't tell my wife. I have three Z-cars and if I bring anything else home the marriage is over. I don't think she bought the line the last time " but honey it was lost and didn't have any tags so I brought it home because I knew we could give it a good home."

I'm interested if anyone has any opinions about the 2003 Nissan 350Z. I know it's no Porsche but I would like to hear what you think. The price seems right at 29k.

I will give the address for this site to my nieghbor, I am sure he will be joining you soon.

Al

Porsche Crest

My '86 had a similar problem. I replaced the lower hatch lock mechanism, which has an arm that attaches to the motor. This was a very easy job. If the motor arm is bent, it may have to be straightened out.

keep the cars

Buy a Porsche and let her drive it. She will either stay or go.
