It depends on how restrictive the original exhaust system was. Mark Andersen has dynoed his engines, I'd guess and should have a definitive answer. In the muscle car days of yester year, a 10% minimum was expected. In a GTO with 400 c.i. you could feel it like a kick in the pants, with 4.5.5 litres, maybe not so much.
