Needed: speedometer needle

While removing the instrument cluster, I've somehow broken the speedometer needle. Not sure since I never opened the cluster.

Anyone have any leads?

1979 ROW

Thanks!

I broke my oil pressure needle...well it was bent and now three years after re-installing the pod...I see the piece which broke off last week at bottom of window (vibrations must have made it fail)...'79 as well!

are you taking about orange pointer or the shaft it attaches to - if the shaft broke I don't think you'll be able to fit the pointer back on - I have a 79 u.s. speedo if you're interested - it would need a new odometer gear or you can swap the entire odometer attachment from yours

I just need the orange pointer. At least I hope it's that simple.

It would be nice if somebody could find a supply of these. Mine is glued together. It doesn't look too bad, but it has a visible gap.

I will have access to a good size 3D printer this spring. I have zero experience using one, but hope to learn. At that time I might see if I can 3D print a new one and a few of the other parts I can't find.

Google gives lots of hits, but a factory needle isn't jumping out at me. Ebay has several sources for needle paint, and various needles. Likely any speedo shop has sources.

Was hoping to get a used one and pop it on. Can't have anything that easy. Haha

Its that odd valued item, not expensive on its own, but remove it from another speedo and the whole speedo is almost worthless without it.

A) buy a cheap used same needle speedo.
B) Take it to a VDO instrument shop.
