Kd even though I have new hoses on all the cooling system (full hose kit from 944Online). I am kind of leery of taking of hoses and putting them back on, i seem to get a leak at that point sooner or later afterwards. Maybe I am torquing the clamps too much....

So to further this particular thread, I have a question this time for a hint.
Has any body figured out how to take the oil filter off without drenching everything under it with oil? Every time I do it I spend the next 30 mins with long forceps and paper towels getting the oil out of all the places it gets to.

Ps. I have tried to stuff rags/paper towels under the filter to catch the oil with mediocre results.

Use a oil filter wrench with a drain pan or a rubber grommet to seal the filter when removing. You can also try pre-draining some oil from the filter by loosening it slightly before completely removing.

I just did an oil change on my ride, I usually fill the Mahle filter a bit before screwing it on. As I’m old, I couldn’t recall if you could fill the whole filter. This time it didn’t take much. At speed, I get 4.5 bar, and usually, at idle, 2.5-3 bar. Now, it’s 4 bar. I use VR-1 29W-50. Normal, or is the oil filter getting bypassed? If possible of course.

If the filter is blocked it will open the bypass...I get the 4.5 at anything above 1600rpm or so. I get flickering between 2 and 3 at idle (warmed up).
