A/C compressor options

Need to replace the A/C compressor in my 1989 car. It’s already been rebuilt once according to my service records. Looking at the Griffiths options. The Griffiths' Kuehl Porsche 944 Nippondenso AC Compressor Kit, for either refrigerants piqued my interest. I pretty sure the car had R12 in it. I have four cans of that I can use. The condenser was replaced years ago but not sure if system was converted to R134. No blue sticker on system. What recommendations does the collective have? Thanks!

I bought a rebuilt denso unit and new reciever drier from rock auto.
seemed like the best price.

Do you have the ability to put gauges on your system?

I put in the Griffiths condenser, and it much better than the tube and fin OEM one. You will notice the difference with that, compared to a different compressor.

Hmmm, I bought mine a couple of years ago, but only installed it last year.
